In a bid to restore Busiro’s glory days, Busiro County chief Owek. Deputy Ssebwana Dr Grace Sseruyange has unveiled a stronger committee that will oversee the smooth running of the team ahead of the 2026 Masaza Cup tournament.

The unveiling ceremony took place at Maya Paramedical and Nursing School.

The newly appointed committee will be chaired by Dr. Ssajjabbi Vincent, who served as vice chairman last season. He replaces Richard Kijjambu, who was in charge during the 2025 campaign.

Kijjambu now returns as Vice Chairman (Administration), while Kiweewa Emmanuel takes up the role of Vice Chairman (Technical), while Thomas Mujuuzi Moore named the team manager.

While announcing the committee, Ssebwana praised the outgoing leadership for their efforts during the 2025 season and pledged full support to the new team.

The committee also retains Sinani Waiswa as Media Officer, with Owek. Ddamulira Joseph serving as Patron. Bisasso Moses has been named Treasurer, while Mulangira David Jjuuko takes charge of Safety and Security.

Busiro, who won the 2022 Masaza Cup, endured a disappointing 2025 campaign. They were drawn in the Bulange Group alongside Bussuju, Ssese, Gomba, Buddu, and Buluuli, but failed to progress beyond the group stage after collecting nine points from ten matches, winning two games, drawing three, and losing four.
