Singh represents ASAS Rally Team and was “unstoppable right from the start” at the Pearl of Africa rally in Mbarara. His NRC win plus ARC podium was called a “watershed moment for East African rallying”.
Randeep “Singh” Birdi from Tanzania and his Ugandan co driver Enoch Olinga- driving a Ford Fiesta Proto got a historic win as the first Tanzanian ever to win the Uganda NRC title with a Time of 2h 07m 02.5s over 201 km competitive.

The ASAS sponsored team finished 3rd overall in African Rally Championship behind Karan Patel and Samman Vohra.
Randeep Singh credited ASAS Rally Team for the win: “This victory belongs to the whole team. The mechanics, engineers and fans worked very hard” Birdi specifically acknowledged the vital role played by his sponsor.

“I would like to thank ASAS for the huge support they have given us throughout the season. Without them, this achievement would not have been possible.”
It should be noted that 2 crews from Tanzania did not finish the event, Manveer Birdi Mitsubishi Lancer Evo9 and Ahmed Huwel , Subaru Impreza retired with mechanical issues.
