Versatile defender Hassan Muhamud believes KCCA FC is building something special after committing his future to the Lugogo-based club with a new one-year contract extension.
“I am delighted to extend my stay with KCCA FC. I have a good relationship with the head coach, and he has shared his plans with me. I am certain that we can achieve so much as a unit,” Muhamud said after signing the new deal.

“The club has fantastic players, and this kind of competition keeps every player on their toes, which is healthy for all of us.”
The extension keeps the experienced defender at KCCA FC beyond the expiry of his initial two-year contract, which ended at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
Muhamud has become an important member of the Kasasiro Boys’ squad thanks to his versatility and experience. Naturally a central defender, he is equally comfortable at right-back, left-back or in a defensive midfield role, giving the technical team several tactical options.

The former Uganda Cranes defender arrived at KCCA FC after successful spells with Express FC, Police FC, Onduparaka FC and SC Villa. He also gained valuable regional experience during two seasons in the Tanzanian Premier League, where he featured for Geita Gold FC and Mbeya City FC, before returning to Uganda.
KCCA FC head coach Brian Ssenyondo welcomed the defender’s renewal, describing him as a key figure in the squad.

“Retaining Hassan was a priority for us. He is a senior player whose leadership and flexibility give us so many options across the back line. His understanding of our long-term plans made this extension easy,” Ssenyondo said.
Muhamud’s renewal provides continuity for KCCA FC as the club continues shaping its squad ahead of the new season, with the experienced defender expected to play a leading role both on and off the pitch.
