Coach Michael Kawooya Raymond has made history by becoming the first Ugandan to successfully complete the prestigious World Squash Federation (WSF) Level 2 Squash Coaching Course, held at Squash City Club in Budapest, Hungary, in May 2026.
The internationally recognized course was conducted by renowned WSF Tutor Csaba Altvater and brought together 10 participants from different countries, including nine male coaches and one female coach. The program provided an excellent platform for exchanging knowledge, coaching experiences, and international best practices in squash development.
A Milestone for Ugandan Squash
Successfully earning the WSF Level 2 Coaching Diploma is a significant achievement for Coach Michael Kawooya Raymond and for the growth of squash in Uganda.
The qualification demonstrates his internationally recognized coaching knowledge, technical expertise, and commitment to professional development.
The diploma equips him with advanced coaching methods, player development strategies, performance analysis techniques, and modern approaches to safe and effective training.
It also strengthens his credentials as one of Uganda’s internationally qualified squash coaches, enabling him to better develop players from beginner level to elite competition.

Coach Michael Kawooya Raymond is proud to be recognized as Uganda’s first professional squash player and coach to attain the World Squash Federation Level 2 Coaching Diploma, setting a new benchmark for coaching excellence and raising the standard of squash coaching in the country.
