Uganda’s national women’s volleyball team suffered a straight-sets defeat (0-3) at the hands of powerhouse Egypt on Day 3 of the 2026 CAVB Women’s African Nations Championship, at the Kasarani Arena in Nairobi.
Despite the set-back, the Ugandan side advances to the knockout stages after securing second place in Pool B.
Egypt set the tempo from the opening whistle, taking the first set 25-14 before putting on a dominant display in the second to win 25-9.
Uganda showed resilience in the third set, putting up a spirited fight before Egypt closed out the match 25-16 to maintain their perfect tournament record.
Egypt finishes top of Pool B with 9 points having won all three of their group matches without dropping a set.
