Southern Motor Club (SMC) has welcomed back its riders from the Motocross of African Nations Championship (MXoAN) that took place in Namibia.
The club contributed 9 riders to the 34-rider Team Uganda contingent that represented the country — one of the largest club representations on the national team.

SMC is the home club of Ariella Katende, the 2026 MX50cc African Champion, who led Uganda’s charge on the continental stage.
The club praised all its riders for their commitment and performance in Namibia, saying their effort continues to show SMC’s growing role as a breeding ground for Uganda’s future motocross stars.

Team Uganda finished third overall in Namibia, with SMC riders playing a key role in the country’s podium finishes across several classes.
