Scottish-Ugandan prospect Sebastian Fisher Quinn made an unforgettable impact off the bench, bagging a late hat-trick as Uganda’s U17 national team thrashing Burundi 8-0 in their opening match of the CAF U17 AFCON CECAFA Qualifiers on Saturday at the Kigali Pele Stadium.
Uganda set an explosive tempo right from kickoff, with Arnold Kayemba scoring back-to-back goals early in the first half. Arafat Ibanda and Nicholas Kawooya added two more before halftime to give Uganda total command.
The second-half performance belonged to substitute Sebastian Fisher.
Introduced to bolster the attack, Fisher struck in the 74th, 84th, and 89th minutes to seal a dominant 8-0 victory.
Junior Ofoyrwoth also added his name to the scoresheet with a 77th-minute strike.
With the resounding win, Uganda takes top spot in Group B with three points and a massive goal difference.
