It’s the battle everyone has been waiting for — Swansi Sambo vs The Kateete Sisters.

The queen of style and speed is set to face off against Uganda’s most dominant motocross family at the final round of the National Motocross Championship at Victoria Raceway Park, Garuga on October 25, 2026.

The Kateete sisters.

Known for her signature “Pink Proto” bike #15, defending champion Swansi Sambo brings massive speed, flair and fierce competition to both the WMX Open and MX2 fields. When the pink bike lines up, the crowd knows it’s showtime.

But this year, the throne is under serious threat.

Top-tier rivals Shamillah Kateete, Asia Kasirye and Shadia Kateete have formed a dynasty that spans almost the entirety of Uganda’s women’s motocross pipeline. Throughout the 2026 season, the sisters have held the upper hand — securing critical race victories and constantly holding podium finishes.

The rivalry is real. The pace is relentless.

Sambo’s never-say-die drive makes her one of the most exciting riders to watch whenever she lines up at the gate, and she remains a big threat to the Kateete sisters’ dominance.

This highly anticipated 7th round showdown will serve as the spectacular climax of the 2026 season. While junior classes like the 50cc, 65cc, 85cc and WMX categories have been the highlight of the championship with explosive, bar-to-bar local racing, all eyes in Garuga will be on the women’s gate.

The event will feature a thrilling mix of home-grown stars and international guest riders from Germany and Kenya.
