Uganda national netball team, the She Cranes has started training ahead 2025 Vitality Netball Nations Cup set for early next month in England.
The non-residential training started today at Makerere University training grounds and later tomorrow the team will shift to MTN Arena in Lugogo.

Its under a revamped technical team of new interim coach Rashid Mubiru and Ruth Meeme who will oversee the preparations for the 2025 Vitality Netball Nations Cup, scheduled for February 1-9 at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, England.
She Cranes will compete against hosts England’s Vitality Roses, South Africa’s SPAR Proteas, and Malawi’s Queens.

In press briefing Rashid Mubiru, the She Cranes head coach revealed he’s happy for Netball Uganda to give him chance again to showcase his skills to the players.
“Today we started training players, it’s great for building fitness and confidence and future is bright. All we need is to have them train more as a unit and to make.”

She cranes experienced shooter Irene Eyaru will captain them for Vitality Netball Nations Cup. She stated that, “With the experience I have gained from other international games, I believe I can help the team perform well.”
