24 Schools Set to Compete in 5th Edition of National Secondary Schools Kabbadi Championship

The 5th edition of the National Secondary Schools Kabbadi Championship (NSSKC) is set to take place in Masindi from August 23rd to 28th, 2025, at Kabalega Secondary School. A total of 24 schools will participate in the tournament, each fielding two teams – boys and girls.

Defending Champions

The defending champions from the 4th edition, held at Kyadondo Secondary School, are Matuga High School (boys) and Kololo High School (girls). Matuga High School emerged as the overall winner, while Kyadondo Secondary School finished second and Mulusa Academy Wobulenzi took third place in the boys’ category. In the girls’ category, Kololo High School won, followed by Kyadondo Secondary School and Dynamic Secondary School Sonde.

  2. Bombo Army Secondary School (2 teams)
  3. Kyadondo Secondary School (2 teams)

  6. Kololo High School (2 teams)
  7. St. Barnabas College Migadde (2 teams)
  8. St. Catherine Girls Secondary School Lira (1 girls’ team)
  9. Mulusa Academy Wobulenzi (2 teams)
  10. Masindi Kitala Christian High School (2 teams)
  11. Sir Tito Wini Secondary School (2 teams)

Tournament Details

The tournament promises to be an exciting event, with over 40 teams competing in the boys’ and girls’ categories. The championship aims to promote the development of kabbadi in secondary schools and provide a platform for young athletes to showcase their talents.
