The 4th edition of Mr & Miss Central Region Bodybuilding championship has officially been launched this Wednesday afternoon at Mamerito Hotel in Bweyogerere Wakiso.
The glamorous launch was graced by the chairman organizing committee Mr Denis Kisakye and President powerlifting Mr Famous bodybuilder Phinito Mbajja, Fahad Ssetimba, Daniel Mwesigwa, Farooq Miyagi among others.

A total prize kit of Ug.Shs 1,000,000 is at stake for all the top performers with the overall winner walking away with 5,000,000 Ugandan Shillings and also trophies, medals and certificates to the excelling performers.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, 20th September 2025 at UMA show Grounds in Lugogo and it’s tribute to the Legendary Bodybuilder Aksam Kiseka who died on 18th May 2025 at Nsambya hospital who carried Uganda’s flag high in most body building competitions across East Africa and the world.

Over 80 bodybuilders from both Uganda and neighboring countries are expected to compete in the categories such as Bantam, Welter, Lightweight, Middleweight, Light Heavyweight, and Heavyweight, arm-wrestling competition, as well as categories for Men’s Physique, Women’s Bikini, Persons with Disabilities (PWD), and Fitness Action among others.

The event is organized by Supelex Gym alongside the Uganda Bodybuilding and Fitness Association and Sponsored by Uganda Fitness Elites, Rosefoam, J&L Industries, RZ Motorcycle Tubes and Brakes, and Scott Sports Nutrition, among others.
The entry fee of the Mr & Miss Central Region Bodybuilding Championship is ordinary (20000), Bronze (50000), Silver (100000) , Gold (1000000) and the colourful event will start at 12:00 PM.

In media brief with the event organiser Mr Denis Kisakye stated.
“This year’s championship is tribute to the two-time Bantamweight East Africa Champion Legendary Bodybuilder Aksam kiseka prepared than previous years who passed away in may at Nsambya hospital this year and we plan to donate part of the proceeds to his wife and orphans in his memory.”

In Conversation with Bantamweight champion in both East Africa and Uganda Mr Farooq Miyagi expressed his confidence ahead of the event, saying,

“I’ve registered to win. I want to warn my competitors in the Bantamweight category to come prepared because I am in need of that five million shillings prize money.”
