A total of 83 riders will be battling it out in the first round of FIM Central Africa Motocross Championship due to start tomorrow Saturday April 19, 2025 in Mityana.

The championship which was started in 2005 in Lubiri, as the East African Motocross Championship between Kenya and Uganda was later evolved into the FIM Central Africa Championship.

Uganda will be battling with 3 Tanzanians this time round instead of the usual powerful competitors (Kenya). Kenya withdrew from the event due to wrangles in their federation.

According to Arthur Blick Jr, Uganda will emerge victorious at the event that is to be hosted at Smart Beach in Mityana.

“It is 20 years since the beginning of this event which we started in 2005. Kenya used to beat us but we are now it’s owners and am confident we shall win it even this year,” Blick said.
