Isaac “Jua Kali” Katende is the crowned champion of the FMU ESport Championship Series, dominating the virtual tracks in a thrilling finale at The Fun Station, Metroplex Naalya on November 30, 2025. The four-round series, which kicked off in August, showcased grassroots talent and tested drivers on various trucks including Monte Carlo, Argentina, and Finland.

Jua Kali set the pace, sweeping all stages in slippery Monte Carlo, but faced a nail-biter in Argentina where Miguel Katende (his nephew) edged him by 0.8 seconds. Undeterred, Jua Kali roared back in Finland, winning three stages and claiming the Driver of the Day award with a blazing 4mins 49.6secs on the Pihlajokoski stage, sponsored by BLACK.
Overall, Jua Kali won all four rounds, securing the championship. Omar “Its Omar” Dauda, a national rally driver, took second place, while Raji “GR Sport” Serumaga rounded out the top three. Miguel Katende, meanwhile, grabbed three Youngest Best Placed Driver awards.

The competition drew 12 drivers and a buzzing crowd, boosting the FMU ESport Championship Series’ popularity. With FIA encouraging national ESports events, expectations are high for 2026. Jua Kali said, “I loved every race. Thanks to FMU for this initiative it’s getting tougher, and I can’t wait for next season.”

Wow, what an incredible achievement for Isaac! It’s fantastic to see such talent shine through in esports.
