Police FC produced a strong finish to secure a 3–1 victory over BUL FC in a Uganda Premier League encounter played today at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

The visitors started brightly and were rewarded in the 14th minute when Juma Ikamba capitalised on sustained pressure to fire Police into the lead, finishing off a move started by Richard Matovu. Police could have doubled their advantage earlier through Denis Kalanzi and Jakoni Daniel, but BUL stayed in the contest.

BUL found their way back just before the half-hour mark, with Karim Ndugwa calmly slotting home in the 29th minute after good work from Nicholas Mwere, sending the sides into the break level at 1–1.

The second half was evenly balanced, with both goalkeepers called into action. BUL wasted a golden opportunity when Ndugwa missed an open net, a moment that would later haunt the hosts.

Police regained control late in the game. In the 84th minute, Daniel Jakoni rose highest to head in from Saidi Kyeyune’s corner, restoring the visitors’ lead. As BUL pushed forward in search of an equaliser, Police struck again in stoppage time, Brian James Obedi sealing the win with a composed finish in the 90+4th minute.

The result lifts Police FC to second place on the table with 21 points, while BUL remain 13th on 10 points. This was BUL’s fifth consecutive defeat but but also their seventh game in a row without a win.

Elsewhere, UPDF FC and NEC FC played out a 0–0 draw at the Bombo Military Barracks Grounds, a cagey affair that saw both sides settle for a point apiece.
