In a match that seemed destined for a goalless stalemate, Humphrey Oroko emerged as the hero, netting an 85th-minute winner to end a grueling winless streak for the Slum Boys.
The Breakthrough
The Sharks entered the contest under immense pressure, having gone eight matches without a victory. Their last taste of success dated back to early October, a 2-1 win against Mathare United.
For much of Thursday’s encounter, it looked like that drought would continue as Bidco United’s compact defense frustrated the Sharks’ attackers.
