KAMPALA – The Ugandan beach soccer calendar is set for a thrilling finale as the End of Year Women’s Beach Soccer Festival returns for its fourth edition.
On Tuesday, December 30, 2025, the shores of Samaki Beach in Busabala will transform into a battleground of skill and athleticism as the country’s top sand queens face off.
Organized by the Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA), this annual festival has become a critical springboard for talent development, offering women a dedicated platform to showcase their technical prowess on the sand.
The Contenders
Defending champions Prison Ladies head into the tournament with a target on their backs. Having ended Uganda Martyrs’ two-year dominance in 2024, the wardresses are keen to keep the trophy in their cabinet.
However, the competition is stiff. Three other heavyweights have already confirmed their spots: Lubiri Falcon Ladies, Kampala Junior Team (KJT) Ladies and Mpata Ladies.
According to UBSA, several other teams are currently in a race against time to meet registration requirements before the Monday deadline, meaning the final roster could be even more star-studded.
A Treat for the Fans
UBSA has ensured the festival is accessible to all football lovers. For a modest entrance fee of UGX 5,000, fans will not only witness high-octane beach soccer but will also receive a complimentary soft drink (soda) upon entry.
Kick-off is scheduled for 11:00 AM, making it the perfect family-friendly outing to wrap up the year.
