Dominance from start to finish defined the evening as City Oilers delivered a commanding display to brush aside JKL Dolphins 76-43 at the Lugogo Indoor Arena on Sunday.

The Oilers wasted no time asserting control, storming to an early double-digit lead in the opening quarter and effectively putting the contest beyond reach before halftime. Their defensive intensity and fluid ball movement left the Dolphins struggling to find rhythm throughout the game.

Joel Lukoji led the scoring charge with 15 points, while Rogers Dauna and Edgar Munaaba chipped in with 13 and 12 respectively. On the boards, Joel Kayiira stood tall, pulling down 11 rebounds to anchor a strong all-round team performance.

For JKL Dolphins, Shane Birungi’s 11 points and Elvis Mpeti’s near double-double of nine points and 11 rebounds offered little consolation in a difficult outing. Poor shooting from beyond the arc proved costly, with the Dolphins converting just three of their 21 attempts.

City Oilers also made their depth count, getting significant production from the bench and controlling the rebounding battle to maintain their grip on the game.

The result keeps the Oilers’ flawless run intact, stretching their winning streak to six games this season. Meanwhile, JKL Dolphins’ struggles continue, with just two wins so far, leaving them with plenty to fix as they aim to climb away from the lower end of the standings.
