The dust is about to fly as the Mountain Dew Ugandan National Motocross Championship thunders into its third round on Saturday, April 4th, and Sunday, April 5th, 2026, at the iconic Victoria Raceway Track in Garuga, Entebbe! This adrenaline-pumping event is a highlight of the FMU calendar, proudly sponsored by Mountain Dew, and promises non-stop action for riders of all ages and skill levels.

From the youngest aspiring champions in the 50cc Junior, Senior, and Ladies classes, to the fiercely competitive 65cc, 85cc, and 125cc categories, right up to the professional ranks of MX1, MX2, WMX Open, and Vets – every rider will have their chance to shine.

But that’s not all! This thrilling weekend also marks the opener of the prestigious Central African Motocross Championship. Organized by the Speedway Motorcycling Club, the event is strategically placed over the Easter weekend, allowing international riders ample time to travel and prepare. With Uganda currently holding the top ranking in the region, the stakes couldn’t be higher for a spectacular start to the continental series.

Confirmed participants from Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, and of course, the host nation Uganda, are ready to battle it out on the dirt. Aspiring riders still have a chance to enter, with registration open until April 1st, 2026.

The two-day spectacle kicks off on Saturday with essential scrutineering and two rounds of official practice in the morning, giving riders a crucial feel for the track. The afternoon will then explode with the first thrilling races. The action intensifies on Easter Sunday, where fans will witness more high-octane racing, culminating in a grand prize for the overall winner: a brand-new Gogo electric boda boda!

FMU deputy Vice President in charge of motocross, Arthur Blick jnr said, “We’re thrilled to announce that Gogo Electric Motocycle has joined Mountain Dew as a key sponsor, adding an exciting new dimension to this already epic championship.”
