From July 23 to 25, 2026, the Teso subregion of Uganda will come alive with the roar of engines as it hosts the KCB National Rally Championship Round 4 for the very first time. The rally will span Soroti, Amuria, and Katakwi districts, bringing thrilling motorsport action to new terrain and eager fans.

With no prior pace notes available, all 35 drivers will start on equal footing, navigating fast, dusty straightaways and challenging community paths linking Soroti and Katakwi. The total competitive distance of 289 kilometers includes rocky, washout-prone stages in Katakwi where tire strategy will be crucial. Notable stages are the 17.16 km IUEA Stage, 14 km Segamu Stage, 18.09 km Steadfast Forwarders Stage, and the 13.6 km MMC Stage.

The Eastern Motor Club, under the Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda, is organizing the event. The rally will kick off in Soroti with a flag-off ceremony led by Hon. Peter Ogwang and Hon. Calvin Ecodu, while the trophy presentation in Katakwi will be graced by Uganda’s Vice President, H.E. Jessica Alupo.

Safety remains a top priority, with FMU Vice President Hajji Hamid Gombe urging fans, officials, and media to follow road safety guidelines as they travel to and around the rally zones. As engines roar and dust flies, Teso’s debut on the national rally map promises excitement, challenge, and unforgettable motorsport moments.
