Crested Cranes midfielder Zaina Namuleme has parted ways with Rwandan side Rayon Sports WFC after mutually agreeing to terminate her contract, bringing her brief stint with the club to an unexpected end.
Namuleme joined Rayon Sports on a two-year contract following the expiration of her deal with Kenya Police Bullets, with hopes of establishing herself as an important figure in the Rwandan side’s midfield.
However, her time at the club was cut short after featuring in just two matches during the 2026 CECAFA Women’s Champions League qualifiers.
The Ugandan international made her first appearance in Rayon Sports’ goalless draw against Mafunzo WFC, where she was handed a starting role and played a key part in the midfield.
She was then involved in the club’s encounter against Denden WFC, but her appearance was cut short after she picked up an injury, forcing her to leave the field.
With the two parties now agreeing to end their relationship, Namuleme leaves Rayon Sports as a free agent and will be available to explore new opportunities.
The midfielder, who has continued to feature on the international scene with the Crested Cranes, will now turn her attention to finding her next destination as she looks to reignite her club career.
For Namuleme, the Rayon Sports chapter may have ended sooner than expected, but the 2026/27 season could still offer the Ugandan midfielder an opportunity for a fresh start and another chance to make her mark abroad.
