The Stanbic Uganda Cup resumes today with the postponed fixtures, as SC Villa travels to the Buganda regional side, Seeta United FC.
SC Villa last meet Seeta United in 2013 at Nakivubo where Villa won in the dying minutes of the game by a goal to nill.
It is yet another meeting for the two sides which have changed alot for the last 12 years as they meet today at St Luke Church of Uganda Playground.
The Uganda Premier League record champions’ head coach Morley Byekwaso is optimistic about the game, buoyed by the return of key players. Ronald Ssekiganda from injury, as well as Jonah Kakande, Arnold Odong, and Charles Lwanga who had national team call-ups.
Villa, are currently sitting mid-table in the Startimes Uganda Premier League with just 20 points from the first round and determined to use this cup fixture to build momentum.
Midfielder Patrick Jonah Kakande shared the team’s confidence: “We’re ready for the challenge in Seeta. We are aiming for our best performance for the fans. The squad is highly motivated, and we hope to progress in the Cup.”
