Vipers SC moved to within three points of clinching their seventh Uganda Premier League title following a resounding 6-0 victory over relegated Mbale Heroes on Wednesday night at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
The Venoms were in ruthless form under the floodlights, with Milton Karisa netting a brace, while Yunus Sentamu, Allan Okello, Mohamed Salem Ekbad, and Kenneth Kimera also got on the scoresheet in a one-sided affair.

The win saw Vipers rise to 65 points, stretching their lead at the top to seven points after second-placed NEC dropped points in a 1-1 draw with BUL FC on the same evening.
With only three matches left to play, Vipers need just one more win to officially wrap up the title race and secure another league crown.

Meanwhile, it was yet another forgettable outing for Mbale Heroes, who remain bottom of the table with 10 points in what has been a nightmare campaign following their confirmed relegation.
