Kitara football club has today, Monday morning announced George Lutalo William as their new head coach and Wasswa Bbosa as the assistant coach.

The shift comes as coach Wasswa Bbosa prepares to enroll for CAF A coaching course a requirement by FUFA club licensing committee effective this season and the club supports coach Wasswa Bbosa’s pursuit of professional development and compliance with FUFA licensing regulations.

Bbosa replaced Brian Ssenyondo in November last year and helped the club finish seventh on the Uganda Premier league table with 44 points as well as reaching the Uganda Cup semi finals before being eliminated by eventual winners, Vipers SC.

CAF A license holder George Lutalo brings a wealth of experience, having led the Uganda Women’s National team, the Crested Cranes, to success. His coaching career spans stints at Gaddafi FC, Buhimba FC, Onduparaka FC, URA FC, Bugerere Ssaza and others.

Notably, he led the Crested Cranes to the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco in 2022, ending a 20-year absence.

As a player, Lutalo had a distinguished career with Police FC (1996-2003), serving as team captain. He also featured and captained the Ndiga clan.
