Defender Mustafa Mujuzi has completed a three years deal to join the Uganda Premier League entrants Gaddafi football Club.

Mujuzi has been training with the Entebbe based side during their preseason preparations and has officially been unveiled by the club as their third signing in the current transfer market.

He joined as free agent after his contract with the ‘kasasiro boys’ expired at the end of last season.

Regarded as one of the best central defenders, Mujuzi has been a major figure in the Proline FC setup since he joined the club in 2016 from Masaka’s Synergy FC.

Born on 5th May 1999 at Kirumba B hospital in Masaka, Mujuzi grew up in Nyendo, Ssenyange. He is the last born in a family of 2 raised by the family of Mr. Ssebutono Abdul and Mrs. Namubiru Faridah.

Mujuzi started school life in 2002 at Ssaza Primary School but left in 2006 to join St. Paul Kitovu, a school where he sat for his Primary leaving exams in 2009.

He completed his Ordinary level education at Blessed Sacrament Secondary School-Kimanya, before joining Masaka Secondary School in 2015 where he eventually finished his A’level education.

Mujuzi started playing football at a tender age at Ssaza P/S however, it was until when he Joined Blessed Sacrament, Kimanya that he got a taste of competitive football.

At Kimanya, he played with Solomon Okwalinga (Mbarara City), James Begisa (Proline FC) before playing with Nkonge Ronald (Bright stars), Joseph Janjali (Bright Stars) and Ssemwogerere Abdul (Katwe United) at Masaka SS.

While at Masaka SS, he featured for Buddu Ssaza in the 2014 and 2015 Airtel Masaza Cup tournament and came close to guiding his Ssaza team to the title in 2015. But his team fell 5-0 to Ssingo in the finals – a brace each from Idrisa Lubega and Makweth Awol guided Ssigo to the Championship that year.

He featured for Proline FC in 2016, Mujuzi featured for Balline FC, Vision FC, and Synergy FC in the lower division leagues and KCCA FC.
