Kitara FC have underlined their growing ambitions by securing the services of seasoned centre back Isa Lumu Muzeeyi on a two-year deal from Express FC.
The Royals, who continue to sharpen their squad for a competitive campaign, see Lumu as more than just a new signing—he is a pillar for their long-term project. Club CEO Joshua Atugonza described him as “a complete player whose experience and leadership will align perfectly with Kitara’s objectives.”
At 29, Lumu has seen it all in Ugandan football. From his early days at Masaka LC to stints with SC Villa, Tooro United, Kira Young, and a spell abroad with Horizon FC in Thailand, the defender has built a reputation as a reliable presence at the back.
Lumu himself could not hide his excitement: “Joining Kitara is a big step for me. This team has shown character and hunger, and I want to be part of writing its success story. My target is to win trophies with the Royals.”
For Kitara, this move is not just about adding depth, but about reinforcing a winning mentality as they position themselves among Uganda’s elite.
