Inspire Africa Coffee has injected 10 million Ugandan Shillings into the Uganda Badminton National Team as they prepare to compete in the BWF World Championships in France. The sponsorship will cover air tickets and accommodations for the team, which includes rising stars Tracy Naluwooza and Shamika Fadilah.

Making History
Naluwooza and Fadilah will make their World Championship debuts in Paris, marking a major milestone for Ugandan badminton. The pair will compete at the 29th BWF World Championships, scheduled to take place from August 25 to 31, 2025. Fadilah will feature in both singles and doubles, partnering with Naluwooza in the doubles event.

Gratitude and Determination
The duo expressed their gratitude for the support, with Fadilah saying, “I would like to thank Inspire Africa Coffee for the sponsorship. It really helps the team. I feel ready for the World Championship and will do my best.” Naluwooza added, “We are grateful for the sponsorship and hope to make our country proud.”
Promoting Uganda’s Coffee and Tourism
Duncan Abigaba, Corporate Affairs Manager at Inspire Africa Group, stated that the sponsorship is part of a broader plan to promote Uganda’s coffee and tourism globally. “This will not be a one-off. We aim to work consistently with our sports stars to showcase Uganda on the world stage,” he said.

Tough Competition Ahead
The World Championships will feature 383 players from 53 nations, providing a tough test for Naluwooza and Fadilah. However, with strong teamwork and preparation, the pair is ready to take on the world’s best and make Uganda proud.
