The Uganda Premier league champions, Vipers SC have announced a 21 – man traveling squad for their CAF Champions League preliminary round game against African Stars on Friday 20th September at the Athlone Stadium in Cape town, South Africa while the leg leg at St Mary’s stadium will be 26-28 September.
The Venoms, who will depart today on Tuesday 16th September via Kenya Airlines and the winner between the two teams will face the victor between Power Dynamos of Zimbabwe and ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast.
Vipers SC have had a taste of the big stage, having reached the CAF Champions League group phase in the 2022/23 season after eliminating Olympic de Bangui (Central African Republic) and TP Mazembe (DR Congo).
That campaign saw the Venoms face Raja Casablanca (Morocco), Horoya AC (Guinea), and Simba SC (Tanzania).
