Cricket Uganda has announced the Victoria Series 2025, a landmark women’s bilateral cricket series that will see the Canada Women’s National Cricket Team tour Kampala from October 18 to 27, 2025, for a five-match T20 International Series against the Victoria Pearls, Uganda’s senior women’s national side.
All matches will be played at the iconic Lugogo Oval, with the event forming part of the ICC Women’s Cricket Week celebrations.

The series represents another bold step in Cricket Uganda’s ongoing mission to promote women’s cricket locally and strengthen international relations through competitive sport.

Speaking ahead of the tour, Cricket Uganda Honorary Secretary Denis Musali described the series as a major milestone for both nations:
We are excited to host the Canada Women’s Team for this historic series with our Victoria Pearls. It marks the beginning of a great partnership between Uganda and Canada as we continue to offer our women players valuable international exposure. We look forward to a competitive and enjoyable week of cricket, capped by our joint CSR activities during Women’s Cricket Week.
The Victoria Pearls, fresh from a successful local season, will use the series as crucial preparation for the ICC Women’s Emerging Trophy set for November in Thailand.
“This series will help us track our progress in key areas such as mental toughness, communication, and role-specific execution,” said Head Coach Deus Muhumuza.
It’s a perfect platform to test combinations and fine-tune ahead of our global campaign.

Cricket Canada CEO Salman Khan lauded the new partnership with Cricket Uganda:
We are thrilled to send our Canadian Women’s National Team to participate in the Victoria Series. Uganda’s women’s side is a strong and competitive team, and this tour will provide invaluable experience for our players as we continue to grow women’s cricket in Canada.
Canada Head Coach Rizwan Cheema added:
Playing in Uganda will challenge our team in new conditions and help us grow as a unit. It’s an exciting opportunity for player development and team building.

Team Captain Amarpal Kaur said her squad is eager for the challenge:
It’s an honour to lead Canada in this series. We respect Uganda as a strong opponent and are ready to give our best while representing our nation with pride and unity.
