BUL FC are set to test the mettle of debutants Buhimba United Saints in the Uganda Premier League in what promises to be a blockbuster clash at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru. The Saints have made a sensational start to their maiden Uganda Premier League campaign, winning all three of their opening fixtures without conceding, including victories over Entebbe UPPC, Calvary, and Kitara, which has propelled them to the top of the table with nine points
BUL, in contrast, have had a mixed start, gathering five points from three matches. Their campaign so far includes a hard-fought win over Maroons, sandwiched between draws with Mbarara City and URA.
Despite missing key players Ibrahim Orit, Isaac Musiima, Thomas Ochungo, and Richard Okello who is away on national duty. Assistant coach James Magala remains upbeat about BUL’s chances. “We’ve prepared thoroughly and our home form gives us confidence. Buhimba may be unbeaten, but we know what’s at stake, and the boys are ready to fight for a win,” he said.
The encounter offers BUL a chance to halt the meteoric rise of the Saints, while Buhimba United aim to continue their perfect start and reinforce their place atop the early-season standings.
