Uganda’s boxing scene lit up on Wednesday when “The Site,” the popular YouTube channel, held its sixth monthly awards at the headquarters of sponsor Wide Travel Deals International Ltd on Buganda Road. The ceremony crowned the best performers of October, with Tumusiime Nerrick – better known as Nerrick Bulabe – taking home the coveted Boxer of the Month title.

The Kololo High School senior, who began Season 4 of the Uganda Boxing Champions League on a rough note, turned his fortunes around in spectacular fashion. His 5‑0 victory over Isaac Kasasa of Katabi Boxing Club in the light‑middleweight division earned him 2,980 votes – 49.31 % of the total – and secured the award.
