Makerere University turned on the style on Wednesday afternoon, treating their home fans to a football masterclass as they humbled King Ceasor University 4-0 in a one-sided Pepsi University Football League clash at the Makerere Arena.
From the opening whistle, the Enzymes looked hungry and well-drilled, dismantling their visitors with clinical precision. By halftime, the scoreboard already told the full story Musa Male, Ambrose Adea, Isaac Byaruhanga, and Humphrey Amabe had each found the back of the net, leaving King Ceasor shell-shocked and chasing shadows.

The victory marked Makerere’s second successive win at home and, more importantly, propelled them to the summit of Group E with six points from three outings. Their resurgence has come at the perfect time, with the competition heating up as teams jostle for the single quarterfinal slot from the group.
For King Ceasor University, however, the campaign continues to be a steep learning curve. The newcomers are still searching for their first point of the season after three defeats, languishing at the bottom of the six-team table.
Kumi University and Ndejje University remain hot on Makerere’s heels with five points each, while Uganda Christian University (UCU) and Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) trail with four apiece. With just two rounds left to play, Group E is delicately poised every goal, every point, and every mistake could decide who makes it to the last eight.
