Maroons – BUL, 4:00 PM at Luzira Prison Grounds

BUL FC seeks to end its winless campaign as they visit Maroons FC today at the Luzira Prison Grounds tomorrow in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Coach Abbey Kikomeko is maximum confident ahead of the encounter this evening. In a brief with Rora media coach Kikomeko stated that, “We lost two points against Express in our last game, but now we face Maroons, who have just won their away game against Bright Stars. It’s going to be a tough match, but we want the points away from home. We’ll fight tooth and nail to get the maximum points and close the gap on the table.”

“We’re more prepared, and the boys are positive in the camp. We lost concentration in the last minute against Express, but we’ve rectified our mistakes, and we’ll go home victorious.”

The Eastern Giants lie 8th on the table with 13 points, while the Prison Warders are 11th with 12 points.

Kikomeko’s men looked poised to win their last game against Express FC, only to be denied by a late equalizer in the 89th minute.

This has largely been a mixed-bag season for the Giants, with three wins, four draws, and two losses in nine league games.

In the past six away matches to Maroons, BUL won two games, drew three and lost one. The victories were however far in between; the first, which was a 4-1 triumph that came in late September 2015 before the second victory (2-1) arrived at the end of October in 2018.

Head-to-Head:

Both teams have clashed 12 times, resulting in eight BUL wins, two for Maroons, and two draws.
