Abdullah Mubiru ready for first second round win as he hosts Mbale Heroes

KCCA FC head coach, Abdallah Mubiru has urged his players to step up as they prepare for a crucial Uganda Premier League encounter against Mbale Heroes at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

Speaking ahead of the high-stakes fixture, Mubiru acknowledged the team’s recent struggles but remained optimistic about their chances of turning things around and hopes of picking first win in the second round of the Uganda Premier League.

“We are ready for the game against Mbale Heroes. It is very important that we get back to winning ways as this will help in the confidence and belief of the team and other stakeholders. We will be without Munguchi, Katenga, and Muhamud due to injuries. The rest of the squad is available for selection,” Mubiru says.

KCCA FC host Mbale Heroes FC on matchday 19 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League which Kasasiro Boys won 1-0 in the reverse fixture earlier this term in October 2024.

The visitors, Mbale Heroes FC, are at the bottom of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with 10 points from 18 games.

Both KCCA FC and Mbale Heroes FC have scored 16 and 7 goals, respectively, in the league this term.

KCCA FC has conceded 13 times, while Mbale Heroes FC has conceded 30 goals in 18 league games.

KCCA FC has kept 8 clean sheets this term. Four of the clean sheets have come at home.

Mbale Heroes FC has played 9 games away this season, and they have conceded in all of them.
