Busiro Ssaza Football Team has officially unveiled a formidable 31-man squad ahead of the highly anticipated 2026 Masaza Cup tournament. The squad was introduced during a spirited event held at Trinity college Nabbingo Grounds, where Busiro demonstrated their readiness for the new campaign with an impressive 2-0 victory over Magombolola Select in a friendly match.
Under the committed and strategic leadership of Owek. Ssebwana Charles Kiberu Kisiliza, Busiro has assembled a squad that blends youthful talent with experienced players, positioning the team as serious contenders for this year’s title. The unveiling signals a renewed ambition following last season’s disappointing group-stage exit.

The 2026 squad features a strong mix of new signings and retained stars. Among the notable additions include solid core of experienced players, including Wafula Felix from Mawokota, Lutwama Alex from Kyaddondo, Suleiman Mutyaba from Buddu, and dependable defender Oyeet Patrick, who has been appointed team captain ,Muwaguzi Tedewo, Bwanika Ivan, Seguya Yusuf, Kajubi Jamil, and Alpha Kennedy among others.
The combination of fresh talent and experienced campaigners is expected to provide the depth, balance, and versatility required to navigate a highly competitive group stage.

Busiro’s technical team remains one of the most organized and experienced setups in the competition. Head coach Simon Dungu will lead the side, assisted by seasoned tactician Yusuf Kinene, while Suubi William Justin takes on the role of second assistant coach. Richard Lukyamuzi will serve as fitness coach, and Ben Kalam has been retained as goalkeeping coach following the team’s encouraging progress last season.
