Four teams will participate in the 2025 Batball Maxx T20 tournament organized by the Uganda Cricket Association. Each team will face the other three teams thrice in the league stage.
The inaugural edition will feature teams including: Gold, Ruby, Emerald, and Sapphire, composed of top talents from the BATBALL program, Uganda’s national team players, local league stars, and international cricketers.
After the completion of the league stage, the four teams will qualify for the semi-finals. The tournament will start on Friday, March 12 to Sunday, March 23.
A total of 15 matches will be played at the Lugogo Stadium in Kampala, Uganda.
This will be a great opportunity for domestic players as they will get to rub shoulders with players from countries like India, South Africa and England.
The tournament was initially set for last year but was postponed due to a busy calendar in 2024.
Uganda Cricket Association Honorary Secretary, Musali Denis, said that, “We are thrilled about the BATBALL MAXX tournament. It will bring excitement as our best local talent competes alongside international players. Batball continues to show its commitment to cricket development in Uganda, and we look forward to growing together.”
