The Uganda Premier League matchday 12 climax today, Sunday as Wakiso Giants host KCCA FC at 3pm at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

Four key players for Wakiso Gaints are to miss the encounter. Rahmat Ssenfuka who has started training, but today’s game is too soon for him, while Alex Komakech, Derrick Kaija and Striker Herbert Assimwe are ruled out of the game due to injuries

Head coach Steven Bengo, along with his technical team, has been working tirelessly to rectify the team’s mistakes and secure the three crucial points.

The Purple Sharks come into this game with a singular aim of winning and end their eight-game winless streak.

On the other hand, KCCA FC has failed to secure a win in their last four games, conceding goals in each of those matches.

In Wakiso’s last home encounter against the Kasasiro Boys, they emerged victorious with a 2-1 scoreline.

In the last 10 meetings between the two sides, the Purple Sharks have managed two victories, while KCCA has secured seven wins, and two games have ended in stalemates.

Currently, the Purple Sharks sit in the 14th position with 9 points, while KCCA FC occupies the 3rd spot with 19 points.

A victory for Bengo’s side will undoubtedly boost the team’s morale and take them to 12 points, just one shy of safety.

Defender Marvin Mukiibi, who has missed the last seven games due to UACE final exams, has returned to training and is available for selection.

Baker Lukooya and defender Arinda Ambrose, who missed the last game due to exams and suspension, respectively, are also back and ready.
