Ghana’s U-15 boys team have been handed a tricky challenge in the semi finals of the ongoing 2025 CAF Schools Football Championship.

The Black Comets will come up against Tanzania following their top finish in Group A, which saw them win all of their games.

Ghana beat Uganda, South Africa, and Algeria en route to climbing to the top spot, scoring six goals while conceding none.

Kwaku Danso’s side recorded a 2-0 win over Uganda in their opening game before beating South Africa by a goal to nil.

They wrapped up their group campaign with an emphatic 3-0 win over Algeria.

Tanzania, on the other hand, finished above Côte d’Ivoire based on goals scored in the competition, taking the second spot in Group B.

Danso says his side is eyeing the ultimate after their brilliant performances in the group stage.

“As for the ultimate [the trophy], I’ve said and I will say it again that our target is to win it and we are working towards it,” he said. We can assure you that we will win the ultimate.”

In the other semi final game, Uganda’s boys team will play Senegal, who finished third in the 2024 edition in Tanzania,

All representative teams from the CECAFA Zone have qualified for the semi-final stage at the on-going 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship in Ghana. All the semi final matches will be played today, Friday.
