The 2025 UMEA Games competitions climax on Easter Monday at Namagabi SS where Gombe Secondary School clinched a double in both Boys and Girls UMEA Games handball Category.
Gombe Secondary School won the 2025 Uganda Muslim Education Association (UMEA) Games Handball Girls category after beating the Mbogo High (25-22) to win this year’s title.
Ayikoru Bridget put up incredible performance through out the tournament for Gombe SS and was named the most valuable player of the tournament. Mbogo Mixed finished second while Kawanda SS finished third.
In the Boy’s category, Gombe SS were crowned Champions after overcome Mbogo Mixed in the hard fought finals 29-17. Kabugo Ismail of Gombe SS was recognized as the MVP .
Gombe SS boys’ team put up impressive performance through out the tournament with 51-16 against Bombo SS, Kawanda S.S (18-12) and Kakungulu Memorial (23-17).
Gombe SS also clinched win in both girls and boys in the UMEA Solidarity Games Chess category.
