Springbok Women beat Kenya 22-0 to claim their 12th Africa Women’s 7s title at the RFUEA Grounds on Sunday evening.
The two sides met in last year’s final, where South Africa edged Kenya 17–10 in Accra to claim their 11th title.,
The win also secures their promotion to the SVNS Series Division Three next season as they continue their quest to climb back up the global sevens ladder.
The Lionesses, meanwhile, were chasing only their second Africa 7s crown, having last lifted the trophy in 2018. They have finished as runners-up seven times, including in 2023 and 2024.
In the third-place playoff, Uganda claimed the bronze medal with a 33–12 win over Madagascar.
