Reigning champion shows his class.
Isaac Katende ‘Jua Kali’ delivered a commanding performance to win Round Two of the 2026 thinkIT FMU Esports Championship, taking top honours in the fiercely competitive WRC Rally Simulation-only showdown.
The defending champion rose to the occasion when it mattered most — combining outright speed with precision, consistency and masterful handling of the demanding virtual stages to claim the biggest trophy of the night.
Hot on his heels was Ibsimak, who put up a strong, relentless challenge to secure second, while rising star Miguel Katende completed the podium in third.
The latest round underlined the growing depth of Uganda’s virtual rallying scene, with the WRC Simulation pushing drivers to the limit.
For Jua Kali, the victory is a major statement of intent and a huge boost to his title defence, putting him firmly among the drivers to watch as the 2026 season gathers pace.
Ibsimak will take confidence from his runner-up finish, while Katende’s podium keeps him firmly in the championship fight.
The thinkIT FMU Esports Championship 2026 — organised under the theme “Compete, Connect, Conquer” and slogan “Driven by Talent Tomorrow, Built for a Bigger Tomorrow” — continues to bridge the gap between esports and motorsport while providing a platform for emerging virtual talent.
