NAIROBI, Kenya – The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has officially released the revised schedule for the 2025/26 mid-season transfer window, setting the stage for a frantic month of scouting and signings across all tiers of Kenyan football.
For Ugandan football fans, players and agents, these dates are of particular interest as the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) remains a primary destination for Ugandan talent looking to make their mark in the region.
The Top Flight: KPL and WPL Lead the Way
The window for the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) and the FKF Women’s Premier League (WPL) will be the first to open on Monday, 5th January 2026.
Top-flight clubs, including giants like Gor Mahia, KCB, AFC Leopards, Bandari and Tusker FC—who often feature Ugandan imports—will have until Monday, 2nd February 2026, to bolster their squads.

With several clubs currently struggling for consistency in the first half of the season, a busy window is expected as coaches look to sharpen their attacking options.
Staggered Dates for Lower Tiers
In a move to streamline the registration process, the FKF has staggered the opening dates for the lower divisions:
National Super League (NSL) & WNSL: The second tier will see its window open on Monday, 12th January, and close on Monday, 9th February 2026.
FKF Division One (Men & Women): The third-tier window opens latest on Monday, 19th January, running until Monday, 16th February 2026.

Sounds like a welcome change, really appreciate the update from the Kenya FA. It’s great to see clarity coming forward!
