The engines are revving, and the anticipation is electric! Round 5 of the 2026 Mountain Dew National Motocross Championship is just around the corner, and the motocross community is buzzing. Uganda Motocross Club is pulling out all the stops for a heart-stopping showdown at Victoria Raceway Park in Garuga on June 14, 2026.
Garuga’s track is a beast, designed to separate the legends from the contenders. Its technical layout, featuring a fast sandy base, massive tabletop jumps, and intricate rhythm sections, will push riders to their limits. With FMU trimming the calendar to 7 national events, every round is a make-or-break moment.
The MX1 class is a regional showdown, with Uganda’s top riders clashing in a high-stakes duel. In MX125cc, Miguel Katende (57pts) and Jerome Mubiru (54pts) are locked in a fierce rivalry. Meanwhile, 11-year-old Jamaira Makumbi is dominating the WMX women’s class, leaving a trail of dust and shattered records.
