Record Uganda Premier League champions, SC Villa, have announced the appointment of 37-year-old Nemanja Milincic as their new head coach. The Serbian tactician was unveiled on Friday morning via the club’s social media platform, having signed a two-year deal with the Jogoos.

Milincic’s Vision

Expressing his enthusiasm, Milincic said, “I am honored and thrilled to join SC Villa, a club with such a rich history and dedicated fanbase. I am eager to get to work with the players, staff, and management to build a formidable team that will challenge for every trophy available. I know the expectations are high, and I am committed to delivering success and making our supporters proud.”

Milincic replaces Morley Byekwaso, who parted ways with the record champions after a stellar performance last season. Byekwaso and Villa agreed yesterday to terminate the contract on mutual consent

Milincic’s Credentials

A UEFA Pro National License and UEFA C License holder, Milincic brings a wealth of experience to the role. He has previously served as a match analyst for the Serbian national team, Saudi Arabian clubs Al Ettifaq and Al Ahli, AEK Athens in Greece, and Red Star Belgrade. Milincic was also an assistant coach of the Bulgarian National Team between July 2022 and October 2023.

Following in the Footsteps of Serbian Coaches

Milincic follows in the footsteps of other Serbian coaches who have previously led SC Villa, including Milutin Micho Sredojevic, Srdan Zivojnov, and Dusan Stojanovic. With his expertise and passion, fans expect great things from the new coach.
