Ssaabagabo Nairambi and Mumyuka Ssejja were crowned champions in both football and netball as Mbuubi Cup climaxed at Magyo play grounds.
The colourful event was graced by minister for youth, sports and arts, Owek Ssaalongo Robert Sserwanga, Owek Michael Mboowa, chairman Buganda youth, Mr Baker Ssejjengo, head of sports in Buganda Mr. Hannington Musoke among others.

In netball Mumyuka Ssejja defeated Ssabagabo Nairambi 9-4 to win the Mbuubi Cup netball trophy. The event kicked off yesterday.
Mbuubi, Owek Michael Mboowa highlighted on the success of the tournament. “I thank everyone who has done the needful to make 2025 Mbuubi Cup successful and I believe that the our technical committee has selected some amazing young players to used at the Masaza cup. Seeing young men and women showcasing their talents is a yes for us. We have seen many people earning big sums of money from talent so I call upon all youth to always come out and showcase their talents.”
Owek Robert Serwanga said that, “Having a successful tournament requires a lot. I would like to appreciate everyone for the efforts. Many talents from Mbuubi Cup will represent Buvuma in the Masaza Cup as well as their respective clans.”
“Owek Michael Mboowa has assured me that since the finals are done their focus is on the good preparation of Masaza Cup.”
