The Uganda Junior Badminton team has been flagged off to compete in the 2025 BWF World Junior Championships in Guwahati, India.
The team consists of six players with the boys team having; Oduka Akbar Nooh (captain), Mukasa Denis, and Kibirige Arafat Tend. The Ladies team consist of Ndagire Kate, Maliha Musa and Nalule Vivian Mary.

Coach Joshua Richard expects stiff competition but is determined to take each match as it comes. Simon Mugabi, CEO of Uganda Badminton Association, is optimistic about the team’s performance, highlighting the event’s benefits for young players to gain international exposure against top players.

They will be led by Coach Muguluma Joshua Richard and Manager Nansubuga Tahiah. Uganda has been pitted in Group G alongside France, Korea, Portugal and Egypt.
