URA 1-0 Lugazi
Police 1-2 Maroons
Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Football Club smiled to a 1-0 home win over new league entrants Lugazi FC at the Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo today Thursday evening.
The hunter man Ivan Ahimbisibwe was the hero on the cloudy evening that eclipsed Lugazi’s eight games unbeaten run under the stewardship of Steven Bogere.
Ahimbisibwe scored the lone goal in the 24th minute following a cool finish inside the box thanks to a Ssemujju’s delicious assist from donkey work on the left wing.
The Hunter scored his 10th goal of the season earning tax collectors third home win at Hamz stadium in Nakivubo.
Steven Bogere had managed nine games after the departure of Sadick Ssempigi. He has won three games, drawing five and one loss.
Isabirye has managed to end two gaffers unbeaten run in one week. Last Friday, he ended Badru Kaddu’s in a 2-1 Victory over Express FC.
URA FC are now fourth on the Uganda Premier league table with 21 points, six adrift of leaders NEC FC while Lugazi are 12th with 13 points.
In the next matches Lugazi will face BUL on boxing day while URA face defending Champions SC Villa on Christmas eve.
