The organisers of the Fortebet Real Stars monthly awards have revealed the winner of the December month awards.
The winners were rewarded on today, Tuesday morning at Lazio Restaurant in Kololo at the event that was graced by Isaac Mukasa (CEO Real Stars Agency), Fortebet Uganda Assistant PR, Resty Mbatidde and Henry Zzimbe of Jude Color Solutions.
Outstanding personalities in football, Boxing and Netball were rewarded with plaques as well as cash. The Uganda Cubs youngster, James Bogere won the football category after impressive performance at the 2025 AFCON U-17 qualifiers (CECAFA Zone) .
Bogere put in an astonishing performances during the tournament finishing as the top scorer with seven goals including the winning goal in the 2025 AFCON U-17 qualifiers (CECAFA Zone) final against Tanzania at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo.
Bogere netted a brilliant hat tricks against Kenya in the final group stage game and in the semi finals against Somalia. He beat off competition from Ugandan Cranes stars Allan Okello and Jude Ssemugabi.
In netball Category, She cranes centre Margret Baagala walked away with the award after his impressive performance at 2024 Netball Africa Cup in Nambia.
Margret was named in the team of the tournament as the best center and guided She Cranes to a silver medal at 2024 Netball Africa Cup in Nambia. The she cranes star defeated teammates; Mary Nuba and Gloria Aya.
In Boxing category COBAP’s Nuhu Batte won the December award. Batte won all the five boxing bouts in the 2024 Boxing Champions League and won Walter weight category (67kg). He beat Owen Kibira and Ezra Ssali for the boxing award.
