The Uganda Cubs forward, James Bogere has been nominated at Fortebet Real stars Monthly Sports Awards for December.
Bogere was nominated in football category alongside Uganda Crane’s super stars Allan Okello and Jude Ssemugabi for their outstanding performance on their clubs Vipers SC and Kitara FC.
Bogere put in an astonishing performances during the tournament finishing as the top scorer with seven goals including the winning goal in the 2025 AFCON U-17 qualifiers (CECAFA Zone) final against Tanzania at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo.
The Lethal forward Bogere was the star of the show at the CECAFA zonal Qualifies championship , he failed to score against Tanzania in the opener but he provided an assist and put up a blistering form in the three games scoring two hat tricks and in the final.
Bogere netted a brilliant hat tricks against Kenya in the final group stage game and in the semi finals against Somalia.
The Fortebet Real stars sports monthy awards organizing committee will be rewarding different athletes for the month December.
On another side Viper’s Okello scored five goals in three matches including Mbale Heroes, BUL FC and Bright Stars FC while Jude Ssemugabi scored six goals in three matches including Maroons, Mbale Heroes and Express in December.
All the winners from each category will be rewarded for their excellent performance with an accolade courtesy of Jude Colour Solutions branded accolade and Cash prize. Categories selected are Netball, Boxing and Football .
The Fortebet Real Stars Sports Monthly Awards others Nominees of December include.
Netball; Margaret Baagala, Mary Nuba and Gloria Aya. In Boxing, Nuhu Batte, Owen Kibira and Ezra Ssali will be competing for the award.
