With just two months remaining to the highly anticipated 2025 Africa Seniors Squash championship has officially launched at Copper Chimney in Lugogo with twenty countries have already confirmed their participation .

The glamorous launching ceremony was graced by the president Uganda squash federation Mr Tamwesigire John Bosco Ahimbisibwe, Madam Shiffah Natambi, the General Secretary Uganda Squash Rackets Association and Mr James Kasumba NCS official among others.

The Africa seniors squash Championship will commence from 17th to 22nd November 2025 in Uganda at three different Venues include Kampala Club Courts Ltd, pearls of Africa Hotel courts and Kibira Country Club Resorts Courts were players from different parts of world will show case their talents in categories including Junior, men and women..

The hosts Uganda will be joined by different countries as Egypt, South Africa, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya, among others and total prize fund is $ 15,000 (at least Ug.Shs 55,500,000) is at stake.

The Government of Uganda through the National Council of Sports (NCS) is the main sponsor of the Africa seniors championship.

The Uganda Squash Rackets Associations (USRA) has already embarked on the preparations to have a successful championship.

“We are getting set to have a successful Africa seniors squash championship this November in Kampala. We apply humbly to sponsors and other partners to come and work with us to make the event a success” Shiffah Nantambi, the General Secretary of Uganda Squash Rackets Association (USRA) reveals.

USRA president expressed optimism about Uganda to host the Africa seniors squash Championship and the future of the sport.

“We are more than ready to host the 2025 Africa seniors squash Championship and we the government of Uganda through National council of sports for their support towards the championship “.

“This event promises to be a thrilling celebration of squash, bringing together top talent from across the continent [and the AGM and coaching course] is a fantastic opportunity for coaches to enhance their skills and for participants to engage in meaningful discussions about the future of squash in Africa.”
