The 2025 Bika Bya Baganda Netball Competitions will have 18 clans that have been divided into three groups (A to C).
The development take place today in Bulange in the pre match technical meeting draws and the closure of the registration and distribution of license .
Each of the three groups has 6 teams apiece with defending champions winners Nnyonnyi Nnyange in group A alongside Nsenene, Nte Ngo, Kakoboza and Olulyo Olulangira .
Group B has Ngeye who are lined against Nkima, Mbogo, Kkobe, Musu and Late Cormer .
Group C has Mamba Namakaka, Njovu, Mbwa, Ngabi Nsamba, Ffumbe and Ndiga .
The Ebika Byabuganda Netball Competitions set to throw off tomorrow on Saturday 26th up to Sunday 27th at Mandela National Stadium Namboole while the finals and third Play off will be played on May 3rd, 2025 at Muteesa I Stadium Wankulukuku.
Nyonyi Nyange has clinched the last year’s Bika Bya Baganda Netball tournament, defeating Emmamba Gabunga with a score of 21-18 goals at Mutesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
The tournament is a grassroots sports initiative aimed at bringing clans together for cultural and social-economic purposes and has been a symbol of fostering a spirit of unity and community in the kingdom and the country as a whole.
This championship has been played since 1950 and only played by players hailing from Buganda Kingdom.
This championship is organized by Buganda Kingdom under the ministry of youth sports and art’s headed by Owek. Ssaalongo Robert Sserwanja .
Each of the 18 clans that gone to look participate in this year Ebika Byabuganda Netball Competitions were given balls by Owek Rosette Kaala.
